Bakit sa tuwing may taong nakakakuha ng atensiyon ko buong araw ko siyang makakasalubong, o mapapahiya sa harap niya, magkakatinginan at hindi lang sa isang araw yun hanggang kinabukasan. Ako lang ba? O sadyang napqgtuunan ko lang ng pansin simula nung napansin ko siya?
Nung unang beses ko siyang nakita ay nakasuot siya ng pulang sumbrelo. Umuulan nung araw na iyon at hindi ko alam kung bakit pag tingin ko sa kaniya ay bigla akong kinabahan, kaba hindi dahil sa takot kundi sa isang bagay na hindi ko maipaliwanag. Isang bagya na unang beses ko lang naramdaman.

She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel. This was fully uploaded on Wattpad in September 2013 for safekeeping. I hadn't gotten back to it in so many years nor find any means and time to promote it. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise.
