Beast Kingdom

A future in which civilization has been nearly destroyed due to war. Within the last century, scientists and the military agents had worked together in creating weapons of warfare. Of these weapons, the most dangerous were the mutant animals they created. People (at least those who survived the war) all around the world left the rubble of fallen cities and created villages and towns in any area not yet inhabited or contaminated with nuclear radiation. They reverted back to a currency of gold and silver and a lifestyle, much like that during the time of knights, kings, queens and castles had developed. After nearly a century of nonstop war, these towns knew nothing but war using the vicious mutant animals. They used only primitive weapons and technology after the war had wiped out all existing records of technology that had been developed save for these animals. This era came to be known as the second middle ages.
