Everyone swoons over her, sympathising with her, caring for her, when all she wants is for cats not to do that, to listen. However, when StarClan tell her of this evil, she may get the chance to prove herself to everyone. Rockpaw feels like an outcast, everyday being hated on by his Clanmates for seeing things differently. So when the chance to prove them wrong comes up, he doesn't give it a second thought. But the evil still resides, and Rockpaw might know more about it then he's letting on, even to himself. Greyshard, as a former kittypet, has always thought of life in the Clans as challenging. For her, everything seems to go wrong. Every plan, every schedule, every patrol - ends up in a disaster, and its always because of her. Meanwhile, back in Snowclan, both Stormsplash and Briarpaw are grieving after losing their respective sisters. Stormsplash searches for answers to Rockflight's death, knowing that something's not adding up. When Briarpaw finds out that Weatherfall might still be alive, he'll stop at nothing to find him, hoping to spare even more heartbreak. But with a sickness spreading through the camp and a battle brewing between Waterclan and Snowclan, the cats must find a way to control their grief before it destroys them, and before their Clans are destroyed by the illness and war.
