This is a Short Shadow and bone AU Of the first battle that I was messing around with from theories and ideas of people on the internet and what they would've preferred because we Love the Darkling no matter how bad he is he still looked hot doing so. This story is set after Alina spent some time Growing her power and building her army, joining her alliance with the king now that General Kirigan no longer commanded the second army. After a few years this will be the first time Alina and alekzander come face to face again. Not much to say anymore if you want to find out how Alina saves General Kirigan, or did she condemn him to a far worse faith? read away!

Amira is living with her family and cousin Alina Starkov. While the family is Grisha and volunteers with the orphanage in Keramzin things take a turn. Alina knows what she is this time..but struggles with learning. When Alina meets Mal, they run off together leaving the Silinas behind. Amira misses her cousin but doesn't ask her to stay. it's later when all are adults that they cross paths again. Amira never went to second army so she joined first army with best friend Nicolas Stark. Being part of the same Regiment she comes face to face with Alina after all these years..but things are different for them. Alina didn't practice as she should of and Amira did..that's why when the day comes that General Kirigan is heading into first army camp..the General's initials are on her neck..being a strong grisha in hiding allows her the benefits of all Grisha. Alina notices but doesn't ask as she knew what her and Amira are but she knew she denied it for Mal.

After killing the stag and forcing the amplifier on Alina, the Darkling decides that letting Alina and Mal go might be a better investment. All Things Must End
A year after Alina Starkov tears down the Shadow Fold, she is finally able to settle into her peaceful life. There is no more war with Ravka. The Darkling, once her enemy, is now a loyal, protective husband, and a father to their adoptive daughter, Amelia. But all things must end. The Sun Summoner learns that a time of peace can become a time of chaos and upheaval in the blink of an eye. As quickly as one war ends, another can emerge. Alina must protect her country as Queen while making sure that the Darkling doesn't revert to his old villainous self, or else all they have built will come crashing down. I send the Cut barrelling at the monster. It dissociates into nothing only for another one to take its place. Again, I send the Cut through the abomination, but it was only a diversion.
