Celestial Intervention, Book 1: Ania

"Yeah? And what would you have us practice on?" Kimba asked, rubbing his bruised cheek. Khonsu spit blood as the old man turned his gaze, his eyes striking them both. "Kings."

Kimba is a boy from the Rahn Islands, more commonly known as the "Outlaw Isles", a name started after criminals were shipped there when prisons were too full. He and his sister were born there, but she was killed by the same men that sent his parents to the small strip of hell. When he finally has enough of the island, he comes up with a plan to leave forever, but first he wants revenge.

Khonsu is a boy from the opposite side of the world, part of the Mesic, a small group of people from the Kyz jungles who are said to be some of the worlds deadliest fighters. On his eleventh birthday, Khonsu speaks with the Mesic moon goddess, Ania. She reveals secrets from the future, and how his presence is needed in the world outside the jungles.

With help from the divines, these two boys meet in the mainland widely called the Shining Kingdom. In a turn of events, they end up on the same ship when it crashes, leaving them on an island occupied by a weird old man. But the old man is more than he seems, and teaches them ancient magics long forgotten, in hope that they can become the worlds greatest assassin duo. But that's the practice phase. Ania speaks of a strange island only recently inhabited by man, and of otherworldly and evil beings living on the far side of it.

Kimba must overcome his temper, while Khonsu learns that their journeys may have something to do with his lost mother.
