Thousands of years ago, Pitch and the Fearlings caused the great Pooka Massacre, leaving only a few to slip away and escape. A colony, hundreds of feet in an undergrond warren beneath Australia, was formed, and among these few pookas lived Bunnymund, who would grow to become the Easter Bunny, a guardian alongside Jack Frost, Santa, the Sandman, and the tooth fairy.

For Bunnymund, living with his mother Tori can be a little bothersome- since the death of her husband, Tori the overprotective ex-guardian wants to keep Bunny safe, but when your son is a powerful and fierce guardian, that isn't easy. Jack and Bunny, still have a rocky rivalry, and Bunny's got his eye on one special pooka.

To make matters worse, Pitch is back, and has only one thing in mind..

Revenge.
