Before: Nicole di Angelo was a girl. This much everyone else was certain of. But her, she thought that there was something missing, and she had never felt right as a girl. So one day, after extensive search, she discovers she is transgender. She wants to be a boy, but is a girl. After deciding to come out, everything changes in her near perfect life.
After: Nico di Angelo hasn't changed much at all. He starts his new life in New York City with his Mother and Sister. This is the story of his new life as a boy. A tale of tragedy, love, and above all else, acceptance.
NOTE! This is an AU! My own world. Bianca is alive, and will stay that way. There is Percy x Leo, yes, and I'm sorry about that, just...please don't hate on the ship, I swear I won't write scenes about them...much...

He had allowed his infatuation with Percy to rule his life, his decisions, for far to many years. His wings had grown heavy, and he'd drowned. Icarus had made a mistake. He strayed too far, entranced by the kindness of the light. The dark wouldn't be as welcoming, ushering you in with no hesitancy and crossed arms. That didn't work out so well for Icarus. So, Nico would allow this filter, this light, to cover him, shroud him in kindness, and possibility, and warmth. But he would not cross further.
