Theodore Stem is a six year old boy that lives in a small town called Lockville. He was always strange even as a baby, he learned things all too fast, and never even tried to ask his parents for help. He never had any interest in playing like the other kids in his family so he stayed to himself and swung on the swing. He loved the swing.
But after his father dies his mother is overcome with grief and is depressed. Unbothered by the events Theodore meets a bioluminescent wolf and soon a man named Wolf comes into their life he cooks and cares for the family but soon Theodore experiences things he never has before which leads him to ask all types of questions that may never be answered.
