This story is about the stigma around homeless people and homelessness. People don't decide to be homeless. My mom was homeless (not street homeless though), from domestic violence. Not all homeless people are uneducated, have an addiction, are dirty, unclean, etc, My mom was a beautiful woman who raised two kids on her own and became more of a resilient person, ever since she was homeless. My mom is the new face of homelessness. This story is also about how some people have different sides to them and how what we think of people can be very different than who they turn out to be. Also, how that can have a major impact on our own lives! Based on a true story.
