Finding It

This world is not what it use to be. Everything is controlled and set up by people above us. Why should they get to control our lives? Why should they get to choose our "soul mate", the person we're gonna spend the rest of our lives with?

My name is Taylor Joe, but my friends call me Coors (yes, as in the beer). I'm 19 years old and alone. See, in this world we have assigned mates. The way we know if we are close to them is our necklaces. They get warm if we are close, and they cold if we aren't. Another way is the necklaces would be able to fit together to form something. All my friends know who there mate is, all of them except me. I have no idea who the people "above" us assigned as my soul mate, almost 20 years ago. But I intend to find. How you ask? Easy. I going to look for him.
