If you're a small business owner, the task of managing your company can seem huge and scary! There are so many things to do, and it's hard to figure out which tasks are most important on any given day. To successfully manage your small business, first ask yourself these three questions.

1) Identify your strengths

This is something you should do anyway, but when you're running a small business it's especially important. If there are things your business needs that you aren't an expert at-hiring people, legal issues, accounting issues-you need to make sure that you are going outside of your comfort zone and bringing in additional expertise. Being honest about your strengths and weaknesses will help not only with managing employees but also with managing projects within your company.

2) Keep track of goals

As a small business owner, it's easy to get caught up in all of your daily tasks and forget what you were trying to accomplish in the first place. It's also easy for your employees to lose sight of their goals and start taking things less seriously.

3) Create systems

The first step in managing a small business successfully is creating systems for handling tasks that tend to get repetitive and tedious. Using these systems frees up time and energy, which can be redirected toward more profitable activities like finding new customers or growing your business. Take inventory of what you're currently doing, brainstorm ways it could be done better or more efficiently, and create systems based on your findings.

WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION There are imperfect moments in every life-but sometimes, there are perfect accidents . . . What's the point of pretending nothing has changed when everything has? It's the last summer before college, and Jonas Avery knows he should be excited. Instead, he hides out at home, avoiding his friends, his family, and everything that resembles his old life. Because nothing will be normal again-because of The Accident, when everything started falling apart. Brennan Davis knows she needs to stand up and face her anxiety-the deep, dark, debilitating dread that rules her everyday life. Because what stops her from going out into the world and just living is going to get a whole lot worse. She's leaving for college in the fall, where she'll be confronted with even more to worry about. To get back up sometimes you have to fall down, hard . . . When Jonas crashes into Brennan-in a harmless, albeit embarrassing fender bender-the two teens connect in ways they never expected. As friends, they help each other overcome their biggest falls and faults, and soon discover that while love can't fix everything, it's sometimes a place to start. Sensitive, wry, and unabashedly authentic, The Opposite of Falling Apart isn't about finding perfection in another person or fixing the things we think are broken. Instead, Micah Good has penned an enchantingly honest novel about accepting the very pieces of ourselves that make us unique, whole, and undeniably human.
