Elena was adopted by the Stackhouse family and has since lived happily in Bon Temps, Louisiana. Every since she learned about her supernatural origins, Elena is force to keep it a secret because she's no ordinary werewolf as she comes from a specific werewolf bloodline. That and because vampires and werewolves don't get along.

One day, though, she meets another werewolf who catches her eye. And we all know where that leads.
