5 years ago, I was almost killed by my ex and I barely got away with the help of my neighbor. I had to be rushed into surgery because he left my chef's knife sticking out of my chest. He wanted it to look like i killed myself out in the desert after dragging me out of my home after beating me into unconsciousness. But luckily, my neighbor, Holden, saw what was happening and followed us and recorded it. My ex, Micheal was convicted and was sentenced to 15 years for attempted murder. He served his time back in Tucson, while I moved across the country with Holden as my husband. I've become a well known detective and moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where I take on murder cases. But little did I know that, Micheal would be released 10 years early and would go on a murder spree across the country just to try and find me after Holden and I took on last names that were far different from our old ones. But when will he find me? And will I survive the next time we come together?
