Atrix wakes up in the depths of a frozen cave, his body no longer his own. Scales, wings, claws-he's become a dragon, a creature of myth and legend. But his memories are gone. Who was he before this? Why is he a beast? And why does the void he escaped from haunt him like a shadow? As Atrix navigates the treacherous labyrinth of the Blizzardelle Mountains, he discovers that the cave is more than a prison-it's a gateway to ancient secrets, fulfilled prophecies that hint at a past life he can't remember. From monstrous snow-dune worms to sentient crystals whispering cryptic warnings, every step brings him closer to the truth... and closer to danger. Meanwhile, in the sunlit village of Amberhaven, Colleen, a sharp-witted healer with a knack for trouble, finds herself drawn to the mountains by a strange illness and the haunting whistle of the wind. She thinks the cure for the disease are hinted at in old legends. But Colleen isn't one to believe in legends either, and she has to decide which way to take it. As their paths collide, Atrix and Colleen must unravel the mysteries of the Blizzardelle Mountains and their dark history. But the deeper they dig, the more they realize that some truths are better left buried. And some feelings- like the growing bond between a dragon and a half-human- are too dangerous to ignore.
