Malia was once a beautiful, spoiled princess and the only child of King Yolio of Heskar. It all changed about a year ago when the evil sorceress, Queen Sovijaka, turned her into a dragon. Now everyone has turned their backs on her. Her life has fallen into the routine of staying out of sight, fighting off the men who used to court her, and occasionally fending off Sovijaka’s attacks on the kingdom. Then Sovijaka sends her best knight, Faver, to kill her and he leaves behind his serving boy who looks strangely familiar.
When Malia discovers his true identity she also discovers that she must save the kingdom that has forgotten her. Along the way a queer witch offers to turn her back into a human and she must choose between returning to her people as their queen or to remain a dragon for the rest of her life to stay with the one she loves.

This is considered the 3rd version of the story, I am editing the 4th version for publication. Many strange and horrifying events take place as Vila also encounters revelations of who she is and the family she comes from. Rune is a secret assassin for Queen Eiva, who has sent him on a mission to find out about this upcoming war, threatened by a group called the Pandoreos. He has his own secrets that not even the queen knows, however, Dakota, a wolf who can speak to Erin, can tell he's hiding something. Erin eventually struggles with her feelings toward Rune. When the threat of the Pandoreos worsens, Rune is called back to queen Eiva. Rune commands Erin to travel with Kier, a man who has a special hatred for these Pandoreos, and warn Queen Beatrice, and King Cecerion about the upcoming war, in hope for an alliance with Queen Eiva.
