Malia was once a beautiful, spoiled princess and the only child of King Yolio of Heskar. It all changed about a year ago when the evil sorceress, Queen Sovijaka, turned her into a dragon. Now everyone has turned their backs on her. Her life has fallen into the routine of staying out of sight, fighting off the men who used to court her, and occasionally fending off Sovijaka’s attacks on the kingdom. Then Sovijaka sends her best knight, Faver, to kill her and he leaves behind his serving boy who looks strangely familiar.
When Malia discovers his true identity she also discovers that she must save the kingdom that has forgotten her. Along the way a queer witch offers to turn her back into a human and she must choose between returning to her people as their queen or to remain a dragon for the rest of her life to stay with the one she loves.

I'm writing a trilogy called Mortance that explores the larger world that this takes place in and concludes Sora's story more thoroughly than in this book. However, she was smarter than that, and saw that coming. She travels with Rune, a man who saved her life during the previous days battle, reluctantly. Rune is a secret assassin for Queen Eiva, who has sent him on a mission to find out about this upcoming war, threatened by a group called the Pandoreos. He has his own secrets that not even the queen knows, however, Dakota, a wolf who can speak to Erin, can tell he's hiding something. Erin eventually struggles with her feelings toward Rune. When the threat of the Pandoreos worsens, Rune is called back to queen Eiva. Rune commands Erin to travel with Kier, a man who has a special hatred for these Pandoreos, and warn Queen Beatrice, and King Cecerion about the upcoming war, in hope for an alliance with Queen Eiva. That is, if the humans can stay one step ahead of the Pandoreos.Complete

Many strange and horrifying events take place as Vila also encounters revelations of who she is and the family she comes from. And to keep the news of her condition a secret- lest it be known and the family honor be ruined. Contessina and her father hatch a plan to pull it off. The doctors give her betrothed a fake but secret dianosis of being an horse riding accident and that she is now barren in order for herself to be released from the betrothal, which works. And the same lie about the horse riding accident is enough to ward off suspicion as to why she is taking medication to mask the symptoms of her real fatal illness to the Salgrias. But upon meeting her new groom- Contessina realizes that he is her love match and everything she never knew she always wanted and needed. So will she be able to keep her deadly secret to herself long enough to save her family from ruination- and more importantly- save Kragan from ruination too?Complete
