(A re-write of my first fanfiction ever. Credit to BellaDoodles for the cover and for helping me to write this)

The events of the Magic Library ended in tragedy and bittersweet victory; Armen's body was destroyed, Drake and his friends were forced to separate once again, and the Library itself was lost as the mountain began to erupt. 

Mia returned to her archeology, believing her work could return her to her friends.
Drake finally succumbed to grief over his now-revealed brother
Grayson searched and searched for the Dragon Hatchery, but found that his actions against the Empire had unintended effects.

2 years pass, and our heroes find each other again, but they aren't all the same people they remember. With a new element thrown into the mix, and a deadly threat on the horizon, will they find that they have all changed for better... or worse?

There may be sci-fi fantasy fun included, but the center of it all is a story about terribly troubled people who are just trying to feel better about themselves. Each chapter is split into "parts", and each chapter is a bit "slow burn". I am a new writer, and appreciate all feedback! I want to tell a good story, but above everything I want to tell my story. I hope you enjoy reading my work as much as I enjoy sharing the fear, joy, pain, and tenderness of these characters' lives.
