Promises. They are maybe the mightiest thing there is in this world. Being able to fulfill you with electric ecstasy on the end of the aisle in forms of vows to your loved one, they also have the power to break your heart into a thousand pieces. Sometimes, the shattering isn't caused by someone not keeping their word, but by yourself not able to hold onto it.

Cherry has made a promise to her mother when she found her mutilated corpse at the age of barely eight years. A life for a life. Intending to keep her word for whatever it takes, she prepared her entire life to kill the famous Captain America, praised by most people like an angel, and yet, the murderer of the person meaning most to her. Along her turbulent path, swearing she'd end everyone in her way, she just doesn't calculate the presence of another annoyingly-handsome Super Soldier with that damn deep-throaty chuckle.

Rescuing the fraile figure, they return to the jet victorious, only to find their rescue, is none other than Ana. She was barely conscious, and from clear signs, she was not there willingly. Taking her back to the tower, they try to help her, only to find that she has no memory of them, and now holding her own power. Thor wants nothing more than to destroy every single person who had hurt her, his need to protect her burning within him. The only comfort she finds is in his brother and the metal armed soldier, needing them both to protect her. ***** Being in a new place, surrounded by so many people, she felt overwhelmed, terrified that they would hurt her like the others. She feels her wrists are now free, and that power within her, was now accessible again.
