Despite the fact that many things had changed in her class, Marinette was content-she wasn't happy, but she was not sad or negative towards what had happened between some of her classmates and herself.
During a cut short trip to Gotham, Marinette finds that she might have satisfied Lila, but she still won't stop till Marinette is not a threat against her.
-as proved by the monstrous realization that Marinette is left to face alone. She was left behind in Gotham-without anyone.
Mysteries start to unravel in this crime-ridden city, but so does troubles with both Hero and civilian life.
Marinette ultimately needs help-whether she accepts this or not.

Damian always assumed that the discomforting emotions he felt in Marinette's presence were because he couldn't stand the woman. However after an unlikely encounter in a darkened alley, Damian comes to the harrowing realisation that he has actually been in love with her the entire time. What's worse? Marinette is under the assumption that Damian hates her. Damian needs to fix this, if he can only figure out how to talk to her without dissolving into an emotional mess. Prompt: Imagine a world where we didn't hate each other. That would be so (fill in the blank) --- This is literally watching Damian turn into goo around Marinette after realizing he loves her. (This was originally a one-shot on Ao3 but I separated it into chapters here because a 28k one-shot is excessive. It only ended up that way because it was originally part of a Maribat writing contest and couldn't be a chapter fic. (Spoiler: I am the MGI 2024 Maribat Secret Writers champion! In the Heart of Gotham
Marinette's life is left in the hands of a manipulative green eye'd serpent; her friends, her family, and her crush leaving her to deal with it on her own. Not being able to handle the snake without being used by the well-known magical terrorist, she put herself on the back burner and lets her life be decided by her duties as Ladybug. She doesn't let her emotions show, she doesn't even allow herself to feel. Years later, at the age of 17, Hawkmoth is finally defeated but Marinette's heart is hardened, she isn't the same 14 year old hero. She is stronger in every way possible, now that Paris is no longer calling her name she decides to move to a place that is, a place cursed with Plagg's destruction energy. She make's it her job to cleanse the city, to become a hero needed by the everyday city. That city though is already protected by strong and unrelenting hero's and they make it their job to find out who exactly this spotted hero is. She not only has to deal with that, but also a growing friendship and rivalry with a seemingly feared and popular boy in her school. Damian Wayne Al-Ghul, the son of Gotham's most eligible bachelor and richest man, Bruce Wayne. Damian Wayne is described as many things; skillful, smart, terrifying, angry, blunt, dangerous, and so on. He is not a man you approach to make friends with, he is not a man willing to willingly hang out with people, and he is not a man of idle conversation. He doesn't have the time to talk and make friends, after all he is Robin, one of the protectors of Gotham, and a trained assassin. Although, with his families growing concerns on his lack of friends he is forced out of the mantle of Robin. Now he has to make a ' change' he has to make a ' friend' and when a blue-eyed girl- who seems to have no problem making friend's- come into his life he decides that she will be his friend as she seem's to be the only one adequate enough.
She's Sunshine, She's Grace, She'll Punch You in the Face
Marinette struggles to stay happy nowadays, but what better way to change your mood than with a change of location? Adrien gave up his miraculous so he could start fresh. After all, his dad was in prison for being the super villain Hawkmoth and his other caretaker Nathalie died from over use of a broken Miraculous. So, now Marinette is the guardian of the miraculous. Will her bullies lies get exposed? Will she find love in the most dangerous city in the world? Will she find out the identities of Gotham's heroes? Yes, probably, but its all about the ride and not the destination. This is mostly a salt and fluff fic.Complete

What better way to do this than a field trip to Gotham? Damian, the bloodson and heir to both the Cowl and the Demon's Head, wants nothing to do with the French Class who has won the Wayne Enterprises Summer Internship, yet his father insists he needs better interpersonal skills. He supposes it won't kill him to try to work with this supposedly skilled class president if it means that everyone will get off his back for being 'aggressively asocial' (although he will still keep NDAs on standby). A seal of fate, a blood right, and a hidden prophecy lead Marinette and Damian on a rollercoaster of emotions, humourous misunderstandings, and comeuppance -- and marriage?! ___ Basically my attempt at a soulmate AU, full of just about every Damianette cliche and trope I can think of.
