My short story, The Ship Breakers, received Honorable Mention in the Douglas Kyle Memorial Short Story contest sponsored by The Writer's Federation of New Brunswick. While researching material for my novel, Dark Side of a Promise, I discovered the grueling work of ship breaking. It's hard to imagine what it must be like to need that kind of work.
