Aspen Matthews is a gifted music student. An incredible cellist, Aspen's focus is on music and music alone. She craves the spotlight and has no time for distractions, trying to hide the pain of having no family.

Rowan Kennedy, on the other hand, has plenty of time to do nothing. A disappointment in his father's eyes, he spends his days snapping pictures with his mom's favorite camera, preferring to stay behind the lens.

When Rowan listens to Aspen playing at one of her performances, he feels a connection like no other. He approaches Aspen and the two hit it off instantly, despite being polar opposites.
