The year is 1865 and Leavitt Stafford, an intelligent and highly eccentric gentleman, has formed a most outrageous plan to battle God. This plan is so dreadfully immoral that you shan't believe your eyes! As this unspeakable plan progresses, the life of Leavitt Stafford gradually begins to unravel until it is an intolerable knit-knot of nonsense! And if the possessed baby and the divine kidnappings weren't dreadful enough, Queen Victoria is abducted by aliens, amongst similarly disconcerting occurrences. Can Montague, Leavitt's architecture-obsessed friend who is approximately as socially aware as a potato, and Marjorie, Leavitt's meek-but-insightful maid, impede Leavitt's dreadful machinations before it's too late?

I believe it would be prudent to mention that the pansexual communist horses, who can travel throughout time and space with minimal exertion, believe this situation to be most entertaining.

Two hundred and fifty years after the world ended and the vampire's reign began, Hadley's pregnant mother Aadya, and her mother's sister, Aunt Zenobia, are Wildlings captured and brought into a Compound to reinvigorate the gene pool of genetically modified humans bred to supply the vampires with blood. They are sworn to secrecy of the outside world under threat of losing their tongues, their lives, or worse, their daughters' lives. However, Aunt Zee breaks the rules and tells curious, intrepid Hadley everything about the Wildlings, training her to survive the outside world. And when Hadley turns twenty, only weeks away from Conception Day, she becomes the first human in history to ever escape a Barn, determined to give birth to her daughter in the company of her mother's people - the only truly free humans in the world - The Wildlings. It was supposed to be a simple plan: escape the Compound, get her bearings, then use Aunt Zee's map to locate the Wildling tribes. And if Hadley ran into a vampire, Aunt Zee's one and only rule was "incapacitate and run". But what happens when Hadley meets the dangerous and devastatingly gorgeous Ruqwik and has to break the rules by forming an uneasy alliance with the vampire? Because, after twenty years, everything beyond the Compound walls has changed, and vampires are the least of her worries. ORION GRAVES has always been on top. A straight-A, high honors student. Top of his class on the path to valedictorian and an Ivy League school. Until suddenly, that all changes. Orion was outed as transgender at his old school, and became victim to relentless harassment. Not to mention that in June of his junior year, his mother lost her battle with cancer. Now, he must move in with his father-whom he hasn't seen since his parent's divorce when he was 8. Moving all the way from Red, California to Lakeview, Maine, he has to start from the very beginning. But, as he starts his senior year in a brand-new school he tries to keep his transgender identity under the radar, and he's quick to learn that it's not going to be easy to get back on top. Because there's Caleb. CALEB MITCHELL, the star child of Lakeview. Honored for being so well-rounded he probably shouldn't get too close to a hill. Not only that, but he's nice. And funny. And surprisingly good-looking. To Orion, he's impossible to dislike, despite him taking the place of valedictorian. Orion was only ever good for his brains. He's never had anything else. Yet now he's scared that he'll have to lose that too. ---------- Chapter 22 Release: TBD Cover and story by me, @ilovegaydinosaurs / @coolsaige Official Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2XONF7xeRhcFwDBWpbxmsB?si=7s4Whhq-RlewQIiya3UwQw
