The four clans of a redwood valley have been prospering for generations, upholding the warrior code and living in general peace, until now, something dark is brewing, and the four clans may be at the center of it all.
Rattail is a strong warrior, training his apprentice Halfpaw, despite his rogue beginnings he's treated kindly in Caveclan. He may be a bit prone to trouble, but he has a good heart and would never do anything malicious on purpose. After a particularly rough border skirmish with a seemingly starving Twigclan he's left to ponder if anything he's done is even worth it in the face of the warrior ancestors of Starclan.
Is his work for his clan in vain when all of he opinions of Starclan are stacked against him?
When he messes up once and suddenly he's condemned to pay for an accident?
What will become of Caveclan when a prophecy sets up a rolling effect of torment and loss? What will become of the clans themselves?
What blurs the line between outsiders and clan-born?

For her, everything seems to go wrong. Every plan, every schedule, every patrol - ends up in a disaster, and its always because of her. As they get older, the time grows nearer for them to choose successors who will receive their immortality which has been passed on to them by their own mentors. But this group is hiding something, and it is only a matter of time before it is revealed to the chosen successors. Petalwish is unsure if she really should be loyal to CliffClan. She loves her clanmates dearly, but the clan deputy seems to watch their every move, just waiting for any cat to slip up. But it's the clan she was raised in. So, she should be loyal to them, right? Keenkit always figured he and his littermates were normal kits who would all become apprentices and be able to train together. But when a strange cat takes his sister out of StreamClan on the day of their apprentice ceremony, he quickly realizes such hope has become impossible. Sunpaw just wants to prove to his clan, BreezeClan that he can become a great warrior. But it isn't as easy as it sounds. Even though his rival apprentice Slowpaw is much younger than him, he is always beaten in battle training and he can never catch nearly as much prey. His mentor doesn't make it any better either. Pounceheart is always treating him like some helpless kit and he worries he'll never be able to complete his warrior assessment. Being a healer who suffers from severe anxiety isn't easy, but Twitchpaw knows as long as her mentor is there, she can get through it.
