Could It Be Me

“Enjoy the rest of the night Vi,” and with that, Dayton walked away.

I called after him, begging him to come back and talk.

But he was gone.

Could It Be Me (I might change this title) is a three part short story that introduces two best friends, Viola and Dayton, who grew up and went to college together. They had made plans to stay friends forever but sometimes life takes you through a sharp turn, changing your path completely, and that is exactly what happened to Viola when she lost her best friend.
