Spencer Chadwick was only nine and a half years old when she met Tony Stark for the first time, though it was not under ideal circumstances. Her parents had just been killed by Vanko's creations and she and an orphaned boy had found each other amidst the chaos. However, once his aunt and uncle had come to take him to care for him, Spencer thought she'd never see him again.
Adopted by Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, a now 16-year-old Spencer spent most of her days getting ahead of her homeschool work and hiding away in her dad's workshop. However, one day her dad came home from his day trip to Germany and decided to enroll her in a STEM school in Queens. Of course, she was initially upset by this, but she soon made a few friends, one of which she had recognized from her traumatic past.
