The French cuisine restaurant down the street from Amelia's house never struck her as sketchy or dangerous. She took her daughter there constantly and she loved the workers and their colorful unique sun masks. But after her daughter goes missing and all evidence points there, Amelia uncovers very dark secrets about the masked individuals who work there. But just who are these people? Are they really people at all? note: this is infact a shared story with three teenagers in art class with projects. This is a shits and giggles story author #2 note: i find it funny how serious we're being about a story we came up with in art class from an art project. goes to show how bored we got in class OH YEAH also there is no official cover yet, I am still in the process of working on one sooooo keep this in mind. There's a placeholder for now

Important Notice This is a work of fiction created solely for entertainment purposes. While some elements of the story are inspired by cultural practices and traditions related to Haitian culture and other sources, this work incorporates numerous fictional and creative elements that should not be taken literally or as an accurate representation of any belief, religion, practice, or specific community. It is not intended to offend, ridicule, or pass judgment on any culture, group, religion, or tradition. Any resemblance to actual people, events, or practices is purely coincidental. I appreciate your understanding and respect for cultural diversity and remind you that this story is intended solely as a fictional narrative. Amelia Rosales, a fearless anthropologist, travels to the remote community of Montagne des Âmes in Haiti to document its ancestral traditions. What begins as a cultural study quickly turns into a harrowing descent into dark rituals, impossible secrets, and a "selection process" that tests the boundaries of humanity. In a place where the living, the dead, and something else intertwine, Amelia must choose whether to remain an observer or confront a truth that could consume her.
