Aelin is still trapped in the iron coffin, being smothered by the mask and chains day in and day out. She's been trapped for 6 months at this point. 6 months of Maeve ensuring that she doesn't know reality from illusion. 6 months of Cairn having his way with her with no boundaries except that he can't kill her, at least not yet. Fenrys has been ordered to watch the young queen being tortured, used and violated for 6 months now, only occasionally being allowed to shift so he can 'serve' Maeve. He's been slowly defying his blood oath right under Maeve's nose, in hope of helping the queen with an unbreakable spirit. But is she more to him than just that? What happens when one day Cairn takes it too far (once again) with Fenrys as witness? If when Cairn leaves Aelin on the stone alter, Fenrys breaks the oath and creates a portal with Aelin? What happens if that portal opens to the Night Court? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In this story, Aelin has been trapped for 6 months. Rowan exists but only as her carranam, blood-sworn, and friend. Gavriel and Lorcan still have their bond broken with Maeve and are helping Rowan in his search for Aelin, along with Elide. Feyre doesn't exist, neither does Nesta or Elain but the war is over and Amarantha is dead. The rest of the Night Court is there - Rhys, Mor, Cass, Az, and Amren. ~~~~~ Aelin supremacy so she's the most powerful, even over Rhys ~~~~~ I also don't like how with a lot of other fanfics, they kind of brush over the fact that Aelin going to have trauma regardless of how strong she is. Like - yes, she's a badass and she's a strong-as-hell person, but regardless, no matter how strong you are, if you go through something like that your going to have trauma. - I may do some things that aren't spoken about with the blood-oath, or other bonds. Eternal: (adj.) Lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning Athanasia never complained about her situation. She never felt like she had the right to. A random event leads her to befriend a small boy. A boy that she believed she would never see again. His situation was heartbreaking, she knew that there are others that are more unfortunate just like him. However, this one encounter changes everything she expected of herself, gave her freedom when the world only wants to swallow her up. --- "Why are you doing this? Why are you befriending me? Though we met five hundred years ago, why do you still bring me into your life? So much can happen in that many years but instead of staying with your friends or finding other things to do, you're with me. Why?" I ask again. Though I don't like being so forward, I can't help it. I'm scared to hurt him. He shifts his gaze to me. His hazel eyes gleam into my blue ones as if he knows something that I don't. "You're right. I had five hundred years, five hundred years to stay with my friends and five hundred years to find other hobbies." He pauses, taking in breath. "But I had five hundred years without you, we only had two weeks together. And those two weeks were the best I've ever had. That's why I want to continue them-with you, Athy." --- Disclaimer: All ACOTAR characters and plot belong to Sarah J. Maas. My characters and scenes are my own work.
