(ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, ALSO REWRITING.) Lloyd has lived a difficult life. He had to lose his father more than once, bare the weight of Ninjago on his shoulders, and had his heart broken again and again. He takes the approach of not talking about it. However, a good friend of his lets him know he's not alone and does something crazy the next morning. Making Lloyd feel awkward among other things. How does this affect their friendship? You'll have to read to find out... ----------Disclaimer: I do not own NINJAGO or any of the art. There may also be inappropriate language, sexual content, and depressing/triggering scenes. ----------Note: I know that a lot of people are weirded out by the Kai being chronologically much older than Lloyd thing, so in my story the whole tea thing didn't happen. So Lloyd is 4 years younger than Kai now. And in the story they mention that it's been 6 years sense the events of season 1/2. On another note, I'm very slow to update. Mostly due to lack of motivation, ideas, or free time. I'll still try to keep the story going best I can. Thank you!

This is the original version of my most successful book; Reuploaded. I originally unpublished it for the rewriting process and moved this version to a new draft so I could work on the book. (Which is why this book doesn't have any of the same comments or votes as the rewrite). If you're here to (re)read this version, thank you! Your support even on my old writings is very appreciated. I don't have the old book description, but here's the gist: ••• Prince Kai Smith longs to escape the suffocating castle atmosphere and live his life adventuring, but his betrothal and kingdom inheritance prevents him from doing so. That is, until he's nearly assassinated. Soon after, the King calls for Ninjago's greatest heroes to protect Kai and his sister from possible danger. Lloyd Garmadon, the Green Ninja and leader of the infamous ninja team, is one of the chosen ninjas tasked with protecting the royal family. He's assigned to Prince Kai-heir to the throne and charming in his cockiness. Things go well at first, but then danger once again emerges-this time inside the royal family's inner circle.
