Far and wide in the Kingdom of Galvador, political tensions were arising among the dwarves and elves. Kidnappers, violence, and protests on the streets were the norm; the same song that shows up in the papers with life becoming a gamble for those who choose to roll the dice. Escaping from a royal decree, with her life unraveled to be a scroll of lies, princess Elva Freda, next in line to the throne, took an oath upon herself to never look back and continue running no matter what.

Until a certain dwarf caught her eye.

Hokul Cavebender was his name but people remember him for always having a pale ale on hand. What can he say? It was one of the few loves he had that never lets him down. Laid off from duty and taking the next job in a small town, the ex-knight thought his life would have a new beginning, a peaceful one.

But like all good things, they don't last long.

On his way to work, Hokul didn't expect to cross paths with the one thing that brings him more fury than someone touching his pale ale, elves. Their worlds heavily collide with their challenging beliefs clashing like swordsmen. It is safe to say that Elva and Hokul can't stand the mere sight of each other; both stubborn as an orc's rear with an undeniable urge to kill each other in their sleep. However, when a new threat steps into the light, they must force themselves to abandon their war of egos with a truce that hangs their trust by a single thread.
