In the midst of a warzone, Corporal Abigail Whitmore and Lieutenant Jason Kolchek found solace in each other's company. They had been seeing each other in secret before the events that led to them being trapped in the ancient Sumerian temple, now known as the House of Ashes.

As they navigated the treacherous temple, they found themselves facing not only the horrors of war but also the supernatural. It seemed like the walls themselves were alive, twisting and turning to trap them in its maze-like corridors. And the creatures that lurked in the darkness seemed to be feeding on their fear.

But even as they fought for survival, their love for each other burned brighter than ever. Abigail and Jason clung to each other, finding strength in their bond, even as the horrors of the temple threatened to tear them apart.

As they uncovered the secrets of the temple's past and faced the ultimate horror that lurked at its heart, they knew that their love was the only thing that could keep them alive. But as they fought for their lives, they realized that their love may not be enough to save them from the darkness that surrounded them.
