There has been a centuries long war between the vampires and the witches.

Christopher Cerulli, King of the Vampires, was crowned just as the war begun, and has had his hands tied with it ever since. Known for being a ruthless and angry King, yet respected among the vampires, he was not one to play games with.

Evanora Townsley was elected as High Priestess of all witches, worldwide. She accomplished this esteemed title by being the only witch in history to achieve immortality, via the alchemical transmutation and creating the Philosopher's Stone. Being immortal meant that the vampires didn't scare her, and their fearsome King was no exception. Evanora was the only witch in history to ever question him, argue with him, talk back to him...

He kinda liked it.

Though of course, he'd never admit it.

Overtime, Chris and Evanora gained a mutual respect for each other, but they certainly weren't friends. What happens though, when Evanora finally finds a way to end the war between the vampries and the witches once and for all? In a way that results in her, a witch, becoming Queen of the Vampires? Will she and Chris manage to make their "political alliance" work? Or will it all crumble to pieces?

Chris Cerulli's best female friend has been Melanie Dawson since they were in childhood. They never ever saw themselves as anything more than that. They had an absolutely wonderful friendship together though. After being friends for over twenty-five years, they'd been through pretty much everything together. Chris was even up front with the bridesmaids when Melanie got married. Melanie is a pathologist (a doctor that performs autopsies on dead bodies) and is often busy with her work. Chris is obviously busy with the band too, but he and Melanie still managed to keep their friendship in tact and Chris was even close with Melanie's daughter, Sadie, and friends with Melanie's husband, John. After nearly ten years of marriage, Melanie finds herself divorced from John, and on her own with Sadie. So, whenever he is home from tour, one of Chris' top priorities is to help out Melanie around the house, with her dog, and with Sadie. Sadie and Chris are incredibly close. When Sadie was born, Chris was the first one to hold her after Melanie and John. So having Chris around more often is wonderful for Sadie; mostly because Chris is very understanding of her and incredibly open-minded. Sadie is just a bit...different, and Chris is the perfect example for her to show that being different is an okay and good thing. When tragedy strikes, Chris is immediately there for Melanie and Sadie and instantly knows how to comfort them. With being so close to Melanie this often now, Chris begins to realize that maybe, after all these years, he might have been looking at her the wrong way, and feelings may be starting to develop. Could Melanie be the one for him after all?
