Trinity's parents died in a tragic car accident when she was only twelve leaving her and her infant brother to live with their abusive aunt and uncle. This same accident tragically left Trinity without the ability to hear. After seven long years, Trinity has become accustomed to her life of doing what her uncle says. She has mastered the art of blending into the background. That was until an unearthly sexy man comes to Trinity's highschool and sets feelings alive inside of her that she never knew she had. As she tries to control the feelings of lust that consume her whenever James is around, Trinity is faced with the reality that her life as a wallflower is quickly coming to an end. As if her mixed feelings for James wasn't enough to deal with, she now finds herself plagued by a mysterous voice that only she can hear, stalked by a pack of wolves on steriods, and hunted by a knife wielding super model. Trinity finds herself uncovering an ancient secret that just might be her and Conner's way to escape their current lot in life. In the end Trinity is left with only one question, "What did James mean when he called me his mate?"
