Hinoiri Kireina is a low-ranking Pro Hero struggling with her demons, past and present, and a populace that hates her. When Hawks, the lonely number 3 Pro Hero, hears shocking news about her, he makes it his personal mission to show her-and the world-her true worth as a Hero. Then the League of Villains makes their appearance, throwing Kireina's world into chaos. She begins to question everything-her values, her true purpose, even her heritage-and her identity and relationship with the only person who has loved her in years are in jeopardy. Will the Hero Spectre become merely a ghost of the Hero she's always wanted to be?
