Something people either dread or anticipate. 
But what people don't know, is death needs to be earned. 
And, apparently, I haven't earned it yet.  
So here I am. Stuck in life. 
And, trust me, it's not a good thing.

I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. This is a story about individuals trying to make peace with the lives that they lived. It's a dark, depressing story with some humor beats here and there. It does tell of suicide and other sensitive topics. Told in hopefully a respectful way. The idea was for this to help me sort through my past and help my present state of mind. Hopefully this might help at least one other in the same way.

I want to die. No, not that, I want to feel the sensation of death. I want to know what it's like for after death. I've always been intrigued by it ever since I was five. I watched a movie where a kid can see dead people and the person helping him is already gone. Is that's what's it's like? Do you not know if you're dead or not? My best friend Marnie committed suicide last week and today was her funeral. As I am sad, I'm also jealous. She knows what it's like to be dead, she can answer all of our questions, yet she can't because she is gone forever. Does it hurt more after the death, or does the death hurt the most and it's all rainbows and butterflies after. I'm not depressed, nor am I suicidal. I don't think I've ever been, I thought I was just thinking like everyone else does. Marnie told me I go too deep, she said as deep as an ocean and I've tried to swim to the bottom. I don't mean to be deep, I'm just curious.

I knew it... coming to this expedition was a big mistake. I don't want to die... what's worse is I might get eaten when I'm dead. Hopefully I won't get eaten alive. I'm just a common grim reaper. Why is this happening to me? There was blood everywhere and I was on the ground. The entire team was decimated by those traitors. Everybody I know in the squad is gone and my master has fallen. I can't move my body and all I could do was lie on the ground until the boss of the traitors approached me. He grabbed me and lifted me up as I approach death. For a god of death like me, dying is not a part of my résumé. Once a god dies, there is no reincarnation, there is no soul, and there is no second chance, just oblivion so... How did it end up like this?
