Izuku died falling from a building, although his soul was already dead. Katsuki then realized all the things he did, but he was too late. All the insults and suicide encouragement came out of his mouth. His f i l t h y mouth. And so, soon after Izuku's death, Katsuki never spoke a word. Not to his friends, not to his parents, not even to Izuku's grave. His classmates are curious, why wouldn't he talk? They know he's selectively mute so what caused it? He never talked for ages, until one day, when a single word comes out of his mouth. "W-what..?"
