Shunned from the truth of her birth, Mariko Homatsu finds out the secrets that her grandparents held from her. But as soon as they tell the secret to her, an unidentified man breaks into their small cottage. He mercilessly killed her grandparents, but in a way that wasn't humanly possible. Thus this was her first encounter with a being like this, a vampire... Mariko now seeks out to find out her grandparents killer, and her unknown mother who abandoned her.
