Silence fell over the pair. A single tear fell down Val's cheek.
"I'd fall for you again in a heartbeat, Spence."
Spencer's hands moved from hers to her face, suddenly pulling her into a bruising kiss. He held onto her like she was keeping him on the ground, and she gripped his forearms with shaky hands, trembling from the emotions she was holding at bay. Valerie could taste her own tears as they refused to pull apart from each other, Spencer humming against her lips. Desperate to cling to their last moments together. When they finally broke apart for air, Valerie saw Spencer's lip quiver. He spoke in a whisper with a waiver in his voice.
"If we meet again."
She nodded.
"If we meet again."
