Oakley Bellerose-Anderson has wondered what happened to her best friend, Hudson Parker for the past 4 years. One dreaded night pulled them apart, leaving Oakley wondering if something bad happened to him. Meanwhile, Hudson turned that night into inspiration to be a firefighter. 4 years later, one dreaded night of déjà vu
brings them back together. What will happen once everything comes rushing back?
"Do you know why I became a firefighter?"
I stand up and walk over to the corner of the room he's in. "You wanted to help people."
"No," Hudson exclaims rapidly. He takes in a frustrated breath. "I did it for you."
I put my hand on his shoulder and turn him around. "What do you mean you did it for me?" I whisper.
Hudson drops his head forward. "When I pulled you out of the fire...I wanted to save people like I save you. You were my inspiration."
