*Could you ever love a broken person?* "I understand that you're broken," he said as he lifted her chin so she stared directly into his eyes. Tasnim's fingers intertwined, her knuckles whitening as she struggled to process her father's words. Tasnim's lips trembled as she sensed the shift in the air. Trepidation siphons through her being. Why is her father apologizing to her. Is it because he had married Fadila off to the man that broke her heart or what. If it's that she believes he doesn't need to apologize. She has given up.
