He then collapsed before he had a chance to finish what he was saying. 

The skeleton went closer to confirm that he was dead and found that he was in fact dead. 

The skeleton slowly started to lose parts of his body starting with his legs when it got to his chest it seemed like...

He realised where he was, what he was doing, who he was fighting and the pain he was in.

And after all that, He just sighed and said. 

"Heh, guess I couldn't do it, huh?" his Glitchy voice falling silent on the last few words.
