Gwen Stockholm, Dash Ricklen and Alec Danes are the institute's most highly performing trainees, with Gwen and her exceptional critical thinking, Dash with his combat skills and Alec with his tactical approach to conflict. After a dangerous mission's too-good-to-be-true success, Gwen begins questioning the centre's motives. Meanwhile, she sees herself growing closer to one of the boys.
