"Luna, it is a pleasure to finally meet you properly, though I do wish it were under better circumstances of course," her voice was strong and steady, but I could sense the sadness and pain she held in her heart. Most of it was being shouted at me, but there was this piece that was hiding. The emotions coming from it were intense, an intensity that has only one source.
Without conscious thought my soul reached out and caressed what appeared to be a locked box, the lock in my mind slid open suddenly and a foreign sensation overtook my body. A surge of heat flooded my limbs, and a scream tore from my lips as I fell onto my knees clutching my head. My mate was at my side in a moment, and his panicked gaze was the last thing I saw before the source pulled me into darkness.
