The Three Wishes

The table held a miscellany of oddities. A clay teapot, a long-stemmed crystal sugar bowl, a metal case studded with colorful stones, and a fancy lamp which took one straight to a tale of a Thousand and One Nights.
Dave looked about, taking in the restaurant. The opposite box was occupied by a pretty blonde, rubbing away at an old kettle with all her might. Dave saw a good-looking man approach her table. He wore a red vest, blue baggy pants and curled-toe yellow slippers. A white turban sat on his head. The young woman abandoned polishing the vessel as soon as the man appeared at her table. She raised her head and stared at the newcomer in silent admiration.
"I am the genie of this kettle. You have three wishes."
