Her Majesty, The King

On the whims of a sleeping God, someone is chosen after the death of the King to rule in his place as Her Personal Interpreter. Omen must learn the ways of court to guide humanity into harmony. Thrust into a new destiny far beyond her home county, Omen must stand up for herself to claim her power.

"In the days when dragons flew, they say trees and people and even ants could grow as big as castles and houses. The ants dug these caves, and left much of their remains fossilized with the Earth beside them. The most impressive of their lairs later became the capital of Aegon, a seat of symbolic power that captivated the eyes of conquerors for millennia. And on top of the ant hill we live today, generations after the death of the Mother who lay to rest under the Garden."

This is the official record written by myself, her Majesty Omen, and by my personal court. All of these official logs record my personal history up until the present day. These logs will cease upon my death. I am the first female monarch of Aegon's entire fifteen generation history, chosen fairly by the tradition of The Hunt. I will neither be conquered by the gift of my body, nor by the assumptions of my subjects regarding that gift. Whether they want it or not, I am their King.
