The book takes place in the world of Teyvat, particularly in the nation of Khaenri'ah. This story tells the tale of a young girl named Lumine Viatrix and her brother who happens to have the same name as him, Aether. Both are orphans living on the streets. One day while trying to steal some bread, the King of the nation, spots them running away from an angered baker and realizes there are his long lost children. You can probably figure out what happens from there.

The book is a bit cheesy and cliche, but it's still interesting! It's why Aether, the reader one, enjoys it. Anyway, after wishing he could live a life where he wasn't such a social recluse, he falls asleep and wakes up in the world of the book, specifically into the body of the book's male side character, Aether. ❞
