Who knew the love story of James Potter and Lily Evans started with a sweater?

The Marauders' seventh year had just begun, and Lily Evans was already hanging by a thread. Her ex-best friend had been causing her raucous, and the year had barely started. In the previous year, Severus Snape humiliated Lily by calling her a Mudblood in front of everyone. But Snape confused her. When he tried to talk to her in private, he'd be begging for forgiveness. But when they discussed his apology in public, he'd insult her in front of his friends.

But Lily knew her worth. And she wanted revenge.

She devised a plan with a close friend of hers; James Potter, the boy who had had a rivalry with Snape ever since they met. And what better way to anger Snape than to date his rival?

This plan consisted of James' Gryffindor Quidditch sweater, and Lily figured she should wear it around. James and Lily agreed that they'd keep up this act until he'd leave her alone, and it worked. Snape had fallen for it, but Lily would soon realize he wouldn't be the only one.
