How to ruin your life in three steps or less (tried and tested by yours truly):
1. Fall in love with someone (you'd be surprised how easy it actually is).
2. Drink alcohol (don't do it. Trust me.).
3. Disappoint your parents (step 2 is very helpful in that area).
Most of the time however step 1 is more than enough.
I, Madhuri Kamat, don't do talking to crushes. I don't shoot my shots or flirt with ease. I'm awkward and shy and interpret way too much into eye contact. I fall for people who are so out of my league, that it's sad. My style is looking at someone from afar and for so long that it's borderline creepy. And that's exactly how I like it. Sure I catch feelings a bit to quickly, but as long as crushes don't get in the way of things, why bother? Feelings always pass, love is, and always will be, fickle.
Enter James Rivers. A friend of a friend. An idiotic arrogant asshole, who somehow managed to get in the way of things. One stupid text, one stupid apology and now I'm stuck in this mess.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: I honestly have no idea what I'm doing writing this. It is slightly based on true events, but I most definitely exaggerated.
