It is the year of 7015, 3000 years after the Great Freeze. Society managed to rebuild themselves into a future-looking, solution-seeking world called Forever. Forever is divided up into groups based on personality, which determines their future. 
   
   Alice is one of those to take the test to decide. She finds herself not belonging to either one of the categories due to a terrible mistake so she is banished to the Outdoors, condemned to spend life with a group of people she never knew existed called the Nevers.

   At first, Alice doesn't fit in well with the Nevers, but eventually, she learns their tactics, ways, and becomes stronger while making friends on the way. For a while, she is actually quite content in the Outdoors.

   But it doesn't last for long.
  
   A threat grows as more parts of Forever are going through a brittle freeze. Everyone can't help but wonder: is the Freeze spreading?

   And their problems don't end there. When the all powerful Guide (government of Forever) decide to extinguish the people of the Outdoors, Alice must choose a side whether it be her family and the boy she'd loved for so long or her friends and what she believes in. Question is: Who will she chose?


NOTE: This story is clean of sexual content (only kissing!), and fighting is included, but discreetly detailed (nothing too crazy), language- mild-hot (swearing & few obscenities, which are curse words), but it's PG-13 so yeah.All Rights Reserved

The Middles are are the farmers, the guard, teachers, doctors, the food processors, clothes makers and of course the mechanical maintenance workers. They make-up the 97% of the 10,000 counted citizens. The lowers are criminals and children born to un-paired parents. They live separated from the middles and Upper. In lowers you work in water reclamation or in one of the fish farms that supply protein to the ship. In the year 2149 Dylan De Rovia is trying to wrap her head around the idea that in two year's she'll be paired. That they call marriage on the Ark. Pairing is good most who are paired do end-up staying together because while genetics play good part in determining a match so does personality. Some people choose to use spend this time having a good time with as many partners as possible. Dylan however, vowed that she would never fall in love with anyone before pairing. The universe had other plans however, when Dylan learns that she'll pair with an Upper named Kyive Sinclar life gets more complicated than ever. Falling in love is hard enough falling in love in space that the story.

And yet, she is perfectly willing to let Natalie handle conversations for her. For as much as she wants to be free, she wouldn't know what to do with herself, get meticulously caught up in planning the details and never end up doing anything. And Natalie, who has no personal desires, simply living in moments and finding the best in whatever is going on. Freely engaging with her friends and helping them, as she lacks her own internal drive, the self awareness to know what she wants. After a long childhood struggle with her self esteem and valuing herself, that has become what she "needs," her coping strategy with rough situations. Being complacent with what happens to her and simply accepting, with no real goals of her own, no idea that her friends are just as directionless as she is. When health complications arise for her, and her friend group is falling apart around her as she can't guide them, she'll have to ask the essential questions that she can't simply answer in a quick sentence. The questions that she has long dismissed as unimportant. Is this what she truly wants, to be solely fulfilled by everyone else depending on her for support? And where does she draw the line? This story touches on potentially triggering content, including the use of slurs, toxic family relationships, anxiety, anger, and death. Any real people, brands or places are only used to further realize the environment.

Her struggles to attain any form of normalcy in her life soon ebbs away when her life is turned upside down as she is expected to entertain a guest she despises. She finds herself in relationships she knows her father would never approve of and worst of all, she starts receiving mysterious letters from an unknown source. She follows the promptings and instructions of these strange letters as they promise to lead her to some important information about a ground breaking truth that's been hidden from her. The only problem is, the letters she guards and hopes will answer all her burning questions ends up being the very thing that endangers her the most.

Anyone that chooses not to follow the rules can drop out and become what's known as an Outcast, but then you risk being imprisoned. While America seems to be running perfectly under these laws, a rebellion is stirring among the professionals. With secrets and lies in government and families alike to change the future of America forever, Cassidy finds herself caught up in the middle of the all out war that is about to break out. What she thought she knew about her world is about to change forever, bringing everyone she knows down with her. DISCLAIMER 2016/2017: This book is a few years old at this point, and due to the political uproar in American in 2016 I feel the need to make this abundantly clear. Outcasts takes place in a dystopian world in an undetermined year in the future, and the political parties depicted in this story - the Republicans and the Democrats - are in no way, shape or form a commentary on their real-life counterparts. I had very little knowledge of American politics when I wrote this story, and if I could go back and change their names I would. Throughout the story you will read of absurd flaws in both party agendas, and in no way did I ever intend to shame or defame the real life Republican and Democratic parties of America. See them as purely fictitious - that's what they are, after all.

It could be the straw that broke the camel's back, or a motivator, a push in the right direction. Aiden isn't sure where he falls. All he knows is the guilt and the desire for vengeance. Maybe things could've been different if he hadn't made such a disastrous mistake. But then an opportunity arises for Aiden to learn more about his fallen comrade, to get to know him even beyond the grave. And like death, everything that follows could make or break the rebellion.
