Dragons live on most of the land, and with the human population growing, the humans and the dragons are at war. Adelaide is a fourteen year old girl. She goes to school like every other kid. Her dad even fights in the war. But with her abusive mother, she has trouble knowing whether the humans are actually doing the right thing by killing as many dragons as possible. Oliver is a FireEyes dragon who can't even blow fire like the other FireEyes. His father, a member of the Council, thinks of him as a huge disgrace. His mother, who is an outcast because she got divorced from Oliver's father, hardly lets Oliver out of the house because she is worried he might get hurt. One day, Adelaide sees a carrier pigeon with a letter addressed to her. It flies away when she tries to pick it up and the pigeon leads her to the edge of human territory, which is about seven miles from her home. She then bumps into Oliver, who becomes her best friend. When her mother discovers she is writing letters to a dragon, she kicks Adelaide out. Little does she know that she kicked Adelaide out just as the Council was planning an attack on Adelaide's city. Adelaide and Oliver must find the Parliament of Peace and get them to help Adelaide's home town. Can they help stop the war in time to save both of their families from being killed by the other species?Complete

Katie Hearst, a mountain climbing enthusiast, gets the shock of her life when she is sent back in time and meets the soon-to-be mountaineering legend Sandy Irvine as he goes to school at Merton College, Oxford, England. She knows his story - he perishes on Mt. Everest with other mountaineering legend George Mallory as they try to reach the summit on June 8th, 1924. She befriends him, as well as those closest to him, and lives life in the last bit of 1923 and early 1924. When she realizes that she can save his life, she decides to tell him not to go to Everest. He is determined to go, though, which makes her mission difficult. Also... she falls in love with him while trying to accomplish her mission and while she spends time with him and his friends. He falls in love with her, too, and this causes problems with his married girlfriend Marjory. How will Sandy react when he realizes that the real reason why Katie glued herself to his side was to convince him to give up on his dreams? Well, regardless, it could ultimately save his life. Based on the true story of the mountaineering legend Andrew Comyne Irvine, or Sandy, the young 21-year-old Englishman who had a dream of summiting the tallest mountain in the world, and who aimed to do so with other mountaineering legend George Mallory. Whether they reached the summit or not is a mystery to this day. Sadly, they died on the mountain. Sandy's body hasn't been found while George's was found back in 1999. This story takes place right before Sandy leaves for Everest, and he is your average 1920's Oxford student. Most the events are based off of real events that happened with Sandy, as told in his biography called "Fearless on Everest" written by his great-niece Julie Summers. This was all Everest knew and understood; until a freak accident that occurred on her descent from Mount Everest completely turned her life upside down. Fearful of her sudden new abilities, she cut herself off from everyone around her, isolating herself to prevent anyone accidentally getting hurt. News reporters had shared her early discovery of her abilities to the world, even without her consent.Nobody saw her after that, and wondered where one of the greatest mountaineers of their time had disappeared to. From afar, she watched strange men in laboratory coats and armed guards take people away from her town. Family, friends, neighbours. She didn't know who these people were, or why they were doing it, but she had a solid theory. That they wanted her, and were using those close to her to draw her out of hiding. To try and control her, to kill her, she didn't know. A new organisation contacted her out of the blue after a while, offering safety and help with her new abilities.
