Falling deeply in love with her idol from the 1920s... and saving his life... Katie Hearst, a mountain climbing enthusiast, gets the shock of her life when she is sent back in time and meets the soon-to-be mountaineering legend Sandy Irvine as he goes to school at Merton College, Oxford, England. She knows his story - he perishes on Mt. Everest with other mountaineering legend George Mallory as they try to reach the summit on June 8th, 1924. She befriends him, as well as those closest to him, and lives life in the last bit of 1923 and early 1924. When she realizes that she can save his life, she decides to tell him not to go to Everest. He is determined to go, though, which makes her mission difficult. Also... she falls in love with him while trying to accomplish her mission and while she spends time with him and his friends. He falls in love with her, too, and this causes problems with his married girlfriend Marjory. How will Sandy react when he realizes that the real reason why Katie glued herself to his side was to convince him to give up on his dreams? Well, regardless, it could ultimately save his life. Based on the true story of the mountaineering legend Andrew Comyne Irvine, or Sandy, the young 21-year-old Englishman who had a dream of summiting the tallest mountain in the world, and who aimed to do so with other mountaineering legend George Mallory. Whether they reached the summit or not is a mystery to this day. Sadly, they died on the mountain. Sandy's body hasn't been found while George's was found back in 1999. This story takes place right before Sandy leaves for Everest, and he is your average 1920's Oxford student. Most the events are based off of real events that happened with Sandy, as told in his biography called "Fearless on Everest" written by his great-niece Julie Summers. Rating Warning: some language, sexual content & sensuality (no sex scenes, but it is implied)

It is 1914, and Henry Anderson is watching the world descend into war. Like many young men at the time, he is fascinated by the idea of warfare and glory. Henry enlists in the military against his parents' wishes and throws himself into the life of a British soldier in Flanders. But it is far from what he expects: Henry's fantasies of righteous battle fade into the grim reality of gruesome death and shell-shock. He and his fellow soldier Jacob must help each other survive the cruel trenches, but it is no longer certain that either of them will return to England alive. Told in journal entries and letters from Henry's sister Elizabeth, this reveals the realities and horrors of World War I, on the battlefield and in the homefront. I wrote this for a history project while studying WWI and got way too involved in it, so here you are. WARNINGS: gun/bomb/gas-related violence, war descriptions, graphic death, suicide attempt. I will mark specific chapters with warnings and give summaries of those chapters on the following one. The Story is set in England in 1917... Twelve year old Marion Blount who has never found it easy to make friends. She has a sharp tongue and quick temper but these are just Marion's well learned defences against the goading and taunts she gets at school. Marion can make a horse leap a high fence and climb the tallest of trees but in 1917 these are not the accomplishments a young lady should be proud of as her peers and her mother continually remind her. One afternoon when Marion is out riding she comes across a scruffy and most peculiar woman, wearing trousers of all things. 'Trousers' already knows an awful lot about Marion, in fact a little too much for Marion's liking. Trousers wants to find out if Marion has the 'Knack' - a magical gift - like her ancestors had. She gives Marion the pair of magical rods and the challenge of seeing what she can so with them. But Marion has far more 'Knack' than Trousers anticipates and Marion and her friends very soon find themselves caught up in a dragon uprising and must do al they can to prevent the first dreadful act of destruction the rebel dragons are planning... On the World War 1 battlefields of France and Belgium it is not just soldiers dying. The Armageddon of a world war is unknowingly wiping out huge numbers of dragons that have lived secretly below ground for thousands of years. As a result England is being flooded with dragons fleeing the battlefield carnage. But with the dragon refugees comes talk of dragons returning to the Above, making war on humans and taking back their lands. A new dragon uprising is coming...

This was all Everest knew and understood; until a freak accident that occurred on her descent from Mount Everest completely turned her life upside down. Fearful of her sudden new abilities, she cut herself off from everyone around her, isolating herself to prevent anyone accidentally getting hurt. News reporters had shared her early discovery of her abilities to the world, even without her consent.Nobody saw her after that, and wondered where one of the greatest mountaineers of their time had disappeared to. From afar, she watched strange men in laboratory coats and armed guards take people away from her town. Family, friends, neighbours. She didn't know who these people were, or why they were doing it, but she had a solid theory. That they wanted her, and were using those close to her to draw her out of hiding. To try and control her, to kill her, she didn't know. A new organisation contacted her out of the blue after a while, offering safety and help with her new abilities. What she didn't know, was this invitation would change her life. For better or for worse, we'll find out. * Action starts to ramp up chapter 10+. She had much color, while she kept with the soft colors of the moon, her own hair white and long, soft as silk. "I can't promise that it will be perfect in the beginning," the angel spoke, looking down at the man in the truck. "But he is of a kind heart, even if it is untrusting at first." "I'm sure Declan can handle that," the Goddess of the Moon smiled at her. "Out of all the challenges he has faced, I'm positive that this won't be difficult for him to achieve." "Out of all the challenges that my soldier has faced," the angel grew a worried look. "I'm worried that this might be the most difficult." *** Wolf Peak has many tales of good and bad, but never has it struggled as much as it was right then. At this point, they're willing to take any chances they can to save their residents from evil in the forests. Even if that means trusting a new family coming into town. With clashing religions and trigger fingers, both men are in for a bumpy ride.

America invited the countries to a meeting in a beautiful business building, hoping they could agree on some terms and try to find some solutions to the world. But only to be trapped due to a heavy rainstorm and try to survive it. Nothing could go wrong, right? --- P. S. I headcanon that Poland and German are both winged countries but didn't have the time to add these headcanons to this story due to the ideas coming late in the story as I worked on it or even after I finished it, but you'll see a small amount of winged Poland//

Her dad even fights in the war. But with her abusive mother, she has trouble knowing whether the humans are actually doing the right thing by killing as many dragons as possible. Oliver is a FireEyes dragon who can't even blow fire like the other FireEyes. His father, a member of the Council, thinks of him as a huge disgrace. His mother, who is an outcast because she got divorced from Oliver's father, hardly lets Oliver out of the house because she is worried he might get hurt. One day, Adelaide sees a carrier pigeon with a letter addressed to her. It flies away when she tries to pick it up and the pigeon leads her to the edge of human territory, which is about seven miles from her home. She then bumps into Oliver, who becomes her best friend. When her mother discovers she is writing letters to a dragon, she kicks Adelaide out. Little does she know that she kicked Adelaide out just as the Council was planning an attack on Adelaide's city. Adelaide and Oliver must find the Parliament of Peace and get them to help Adelaide's home town. Can they help stop the war in time to save both of their families from being killed by the other species?
