Ivy, Callie, Derek, and Wyatt have stuck together through everything-including getting kicked out of their elite military for large acts of rebellion. But when they are arrested and sentenced to death after killing 4 of the guards of a visiting duke and duchess, the young teens have no hope of surviving the next week. Then the emperor offers them an alternative to their executions: join the game show called the Assassin's Dream. If they win, they will be granted their freedom. If not, they'll be dead.
The Assassin's Dream is harsh. Not being careful and aware can mean an instant death for you and your teammates. Keeping faith in your abilities and each other is crucial.
Each team has nothing to lose, but everything to fight for. Only two teams will make it out alive. Will their skills be enough to make them true assassins?
