Hazel Martinez, was always a happy girl until one terrible night ruined her life forever. Which leads to her being traumatized to the point where she actually starts behaving like she is deaf and mute. Fast forward a few years later, her parents are fed up with her depression and decide to send her to North Carolina to start a new life. There her life will begin to take a turn for the better after she goes to a party where an incident with Nash Grier will start to change her fate. Later both Hazel and Nash begin to develop feelings for each other. Feelings that Hazel feels are forbidden to her because of her mysterious past.
